The Immunological Society of Zambia’s main mission is to advance scientific knowledge in the field of immunology within Zambia and globally. In this regard, the society promotes advancement of knowledge in Immunology and related disciplines. The society facilitates capacity building activities such as organization of immunology courses, scientific conferences, symposia, workshops and promote any activity deemed helpful to advance the teaching and practice of immunology. It also serves its members by providing  a hub for the dissemination of information relevant to the field and its practice.

The society main objectives are:

1. To promote excellence in research and education of immunology and provide a forum for advocacy for scholars, academics and researchers in basic and clinical research sciences.

2. To foster scientific communication to the public, medical scientific societies, institutes, policy makers in Zambia and other immunological societies.

3. To represent Zambian immunologists in the Federation of African Immunological societies (FAIS) and International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS).
