Dr. William Kilembe

Dr. William Kilembe is a Project Director of the Center for Family Health Research in Zambia (CFHRZ). He graduated from the University of Zambia School of Medicine in 2003; has MSc in Clinical Trials and an MSc in Infectious Disease from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. William leads public health programs, sexual & reproductive health and infectious disease research at CFHRZ. He also leads clinical research on HIV/AIDS vaccines and is Principal Investigator (PI) on various studies that have contributed to HIV vaccine research and development. These studies include: characterization of transmitted HIV virus and characterization of immune responses to HIV by identification, isolation, and characterization of broadly neutralizing monoclonal antibodies to HIV and characterization of potential T-cell epitopes as targets for HIV vaccines.
